This project advances knowledge and understanding (and additional insights into strategies) of support systems along with the training required to productively sustain, engage, and encourage underrepresented minority women entrepreneurs in STEM. The double cohort design allows for the evaluation of the impact of two critical barriers to success, cited as reasons for the lack of participation of underrepresented women in STEM-based entrepreneurial endeavors. The project builds upon the knowledge of the NSF I-Corps™ program while supporting the program’s interest in continuing to diversify its network of entrepreneurs.
